Dilip Kumar replied that he was introduced to Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif by Saira Banu at his birthday party a year before, in 2011. The legend commented that both the actresses are very mannerly and that Saira appeared to be fond of them.

The 89th birthday of Dilip Kumar, held in 2011, was a grand topic and one of the biggest star-studded events of the previous decade. Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Govinda, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Dharmendra, Riteish Deshmukh, Salim Khan, Rani Mukerji and Shatrughan Sinha had graced the event. Deceased personalities like Rishi Kapoor, Yash Chopra and Rajesh Khanna, too, had made their presence felt.
