Shah Rukh Khan celebrates 19 years of Devdas with throwback pictures; says “Only issue-the dhoti kept falling off”

Sanja Leela Bhansali’s 2002 mucosa Devdas starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Madhuri Dixit Nene completes 19 years of the release today. On the special occasion, Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter worth to share precious pictures from the sets of the mucosa and highlighted one issue he had faced during the filming.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter handle and shared three pictures from the sets of the film. In the first picture, he can be seen preparing for a scene with Madhuri Dixit while Bhansali was directing them. The second picture is s still from the mucosa where SRK can be seen looking at Aishwarya who played Paro. The third picture is a black-and-white picture of him and Jackie Shroff getting ready for a shot.

Sharing the pictures, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “All the late nights,early mornings,problems worked out bcoz of the gorgeous @MadhuriDixit,the stunning Aishwarya,ever cheerful @bindasbhidu, full of life @KirronKherBJP & the whole team slogging under the masterful Bhansali.”

He moreover hilariously pointed out at one issue he had, “Only issue-the dhoti kept falling off! Thx for the love,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the makers of the mucosa paid a tribute to the late two-face Dilip Kumar while triumphal 19 years of the film. The late two-face was the star of the 1955 mucosa Devdas.

Bhansali’s cinematic version of Devdas, a Hindi literary masterpiece by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, won over both the critics and the audience. The mucosa remains the all-time favourite of every cine-lover wideness the globe. While each scene looked straight out of a trappy painting, the magnificent sets and splendid costumes made the mucosa one of its first kinds.

Regarded as one of the most expensive films when in the day, Bhansali’s masterful direction and sustentation to detail earned him international recognition.

While Devdas was premiered at the Cannes Mucosa Festival in 2002, it unsober a nomination at BAFTA under the Best Foreign Language Mucosa category in 2003. The mucosa was moreover India’s submission for the Academy Awards under the Best Foreign Language Mucosa category. Bhansali’s musical drama stood eighth in Time magazine’s “The 10 Greatest Movies of the Millennium”.

Back at home, Bhansali’s masterpiece became a massive box office success. It unsober eleven awards at the 48th Filmfare Awards, including Best Mucosa & Best Director. Devdas moreover won the National Mucosa Award for the Best Mucosa Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
